Wet Forest: Oksuro’s First AI Video Project
Project Introduction
“Wet Forest” is an innovative video project that artistically captures a rainy day in the forest using advanced AI technology. Building upon the hyper-realistic and aesthetically pleasing AI-generated images from Oksuro, our goal was to create a natural and realistic video that transcends typical AI-generated content. We aimed to produce a piece that feels authentic and emotionally resonant, immersing viewers in the serene beauty of nature.
This endeavor was a collaborative effort between designer Joel and video editor Yong, utilizing cutting-edge AI tools such as Midjourney, Gen-3, Eleven Labs, and Adobe After Effects. “Wet Forest” aims to capture the delicate beauty and rhythmic life of a rain-soaked forest, offering viewers a harmonious connection with nature.
Background and Purpose of the Video Production
At Oksuro, we pride ourselves on sharing high-quality, photorealistic AI images that blur the line between reality and artificial creation. Leveraging this strength, our primary objective with “Wet Forest” was to use Oksuro’s images to create an AI-generated video that feels genuinely real and not discernibly AI-made. We wanted to challenge preconceived notions of AI art by producing content that resonates on an emotional level, akin to traditional cinematography.
The production spanned two months, with the first month dedicated to intensive concept development and theme selection. Although AI technology has advanced significantly, achieving a high-quality, realistic feel that doesn’t seem artificially generated requires careful planning and subject matter that AI can interpret and render effectively. After numerous tests and experiments, we discovered that the AI video tool Gen-3 excels at transforming images of natural elements into seamless videos. This insight led us to embrace the “Wet Forest” concept, focusing on the tranquil yet dynamic environment of a rain-drenched forest.
Production Process
Even with high-quality images, converting them into videos using Gen-3 didn’t always yield the desired results. Sometimes, we had to generate over 100 videos for a single image to get the perfect outcome. After finalizing the video, we needed sound to enhance the immersive “Wet Forest” experience.
Initially, we considered generating melodic music using the well-known AI music generator Suno AI, but it kept incorporating lyrics, which didn’t fit our concept. Therefore, we decided to add ambient sounds like white noise or ASMR audio. We used Eleven Labs AI to create these sounds, and our prompt designer Joel crafted the audio by inputting prompts that evoked the feeling of each image. Finally, to unify all elements, Yong used Adobe After Effects for video editing, color grading, and adding subtle visual effects.
Future Plans
Having completed “Wet Forest,” we are eager to apply the skills we’ve acquired during this project to create AI videos on other themes. If you have any ideas or requests for videos you’d like to see, please feel free to contact us at hello@oksuro.com. We look forward to returning with more exciting and innovative AI videos.
